Genesee County has over 60 years of systemic failure that it must overcome. We are at war with the failed policies that have destroyed this county. We are currently securing and exposing the area of operations. It is being accomplished by the visual corruption exposed in county level offices such as John Gleason’s arrest and Mark Young’s demise.
Once we secure the area of operation from progressive agendas, we must start the rebuild campaign. That starts in our schools. We need to fix the schools and refocus them to produce young employable students. We do that by implementing a curriculum of trades, financial literacy, civic responsibility, and entrepreneurship. With the education plan on track, our next move is to inject operators into the community. These are organizations and companies that are idealistic and like the risk to reward ratio of Genesee County; companies such as Tesla or Space X. Ironically, both those companies are ran by the same idealistic entrepreneur. Working with the 8th District’s congressperson, we will bring those businesses in. We will work long hours to ensure the companies coming in are here for a true financial investment—unafraid to stand up from the table and walk away if the deal isn’t in the best interest of Genesee County residents.
When the operational companies arrive, they will be helping restore some of the blighted, run-down, and “unusable” locations in the Genesee County area. Filling the buildings that once housed many businesses built around the automotive industry. Removing the need to spend 8 million tax dollars on blighted businesses. The companies will undoubtedly have jobs that will need to be filled. They can be filled a number of ways; bringing population into the areas the way General Motors drove population in, and with the students that are graduating high school with a trades curriculum in place.
Students graduating with entrepreneurial skills will supplement the growing businesses that were strategically placed. Continuing the cycle of graduation to investment, reviving Flint and the surrounding cities, townships and municipals.
They will all have the skillsets to operate and make strong business decisions from High School. They will be able to work with the local schools and provide an education and work ethic that businesses look for in their employees. Creating a community of self-reliance and determination. One that feeds itself and doesn’t rely on the hand of the government.
The failure of Genesee County is generational. It will not be resolved overnight; it will not be resolved in one chamber of legislature. It will only be resolved with constant work, and strong leadership from Lansing, the Genesee County Commissioners, City and Township councils and local school boards. This is an all-hands on deck mission and we must be ready for the war.
On August 2nd and November 8th 2022, Operation Putting Genesee County First is in full effect when electing Aaron R. Gardner to the 27th District State Senate.
